The love story of Sultan Ibrahim II and Gor female Rambha was surely very controversial, almost like blasphemy and an insult to Islam. A Muslim ruler falling in love with a local gypsy dancer. Surely not possible to delete from peoples memory. The true story seems to have been changed to fit into an acceptable syncretic Muslim-Hindu frame. Only the oral traditions of the Gor´s telling us what really took place. What is the proof of this manipulation? Rambha, or Rambni bhai seems to have been removed from an royal painting made ca. 1590 A.D. The gypsy girl replaced by another woman. You have to ask your self: Why?

A story that had to be changed, to please Muslims?

Whose lover was she? Sultan Muhammad or Ibrahim II? A scandal in ancient Bijapur.

The official narrative is questioned in this book:
